Terms of Sale

Last updated 2 October 2026

These terms cover every order placed at Logbook Press. They're written to be read, not skimmed past. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law as a consumer.

Who you're buying from

Logbook Press is an independent online print studio run by its owner. You can reach us through the contact page or at asklogbookpress@gmail.com.

Digital files are sold through our online reseller, Lemon Squeezy, which is the merchant of record for those orders: it takes the payment, works out and pays any sales tax or VAT due where you live, and issues the invoice. We make and deliver the files, and answer any question about them.

What we sell

Every print is made to order from the details you enter. Prints are produced and shipped by our print partner, Gelato, at the production site nearest to you. Colours on screen and on paper will differ slightly, and each print is designed with visible grain and slight misregistration. That's the look, not a fault.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars and include printing. Tracked delivery is free to most countries; where it isn't, the shipping charge appears as soon as you choose your country, before you pay, as its own line. Most prints are made in or near your country. Some cross a border on the way (for example to Switzerland, the UAE, South Africa and Japan), and any tax or duty charged on delivery there is payable by you. For digital files, Lemon Squeezy adds any sales tax or VAT due in your country on its checkout, before you pay.

Payment is taken when you place the order, by the payment provider shown at checkout: Lemon Squeezy for digital files, and our card payment provider for prints. The price charged is set by our server, not by your browser, and your contract with us begins when the provider confirms the payment.

Paying securely

This site is served only over an encrypted connection (HTTPS, TLS 1.2 or later). You enter your card details on the payment provider's own checkout page, never on ours, so we never see or store them; those providers are certified to the card industry's security standard (PCI DSS). Order details reach our server over the same encrypted connection and are stored with restricted access.

Sale prices and promo codes

When something is on sale, the regular price is shown crossed out next to the sale price, and the sale price applies to orders paid while the sale is running. A promo code takes off what it says when you apply it, from the price of the print or file (not shipping). One code per order; codes can have an end date, a limit on uses or apply only to some formats, as shown when you enter them; they have no cash value and can't be added after you've paid.

When ordering is paused

We sometimes pause ordering for some or all products, for example while we set up payments. While it's paused, Continue to Order lets you leave your email instead, and we'll tell you when it reopens. That doesn't place an order or commit you to anything.

Your proof

Before you pay, you check a proof and confirm that every name, figure and date on it is right. We print exactly what you approved. For Photo Posters in the Gig Poster, Woodcut or Comic Panel finishes, we redraw your photo and email the proof within two working days; nothing prints until you approve it. For Photo Posters we may ask you for the full-size original of your photo so it prints sharp.

Production and delivery

Prints are usually dispatched within two to four working days of payment and then delivered by tracked post, typically arriving within 4–8 working days of your order, or up to three weeks for Japan, South Africa and the UAE. We email you the tracking link when it ships. Delivery times depend on the carrier and your location and aren't guaranteed. Digital files download straight after payment, and the download links are emailed to you as well.

We deliver to the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, France, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, Poland, the Czech Republic, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates and South Africa. We can't ship anywhere else yet; the order form lists only these countries.

Please give us a complete, correct shipping address. If a parcel is returned because the address was wrong, we can reship it at cost.

Cancelling

Every item is made to your specification, so the usual right to cancel and return for a change of mind doesn't apply to personalised goods. Digital files are delivered straight after payment, and by ordering one you agree to that and accept that you can't cancel once it's sent. If you change your mind about a print, contact us as soon as possible: if it hasn't gone to print yet (usually by the next working day), we'll cancel it and refund what you paid in full.

If something goes wrong

Where a replacement isn't possible, we refund you in full. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, through the payment provider you paid with (Lemon Squeezy for digital files). The details, including how to ask, are on our Refunds & Returns page. These promises are in addition to your rights by law if goods are faulty or not as described.

Commissions

Sending a commission enquiry is free and commits you to nothing. We reply with a first sketch and a firm price. You pay only once you approve the drawing, and from then on these terms apply to it as to any other print.

Your content

You're responsible for what you put on a print: names, text, routes and photos. By ordering, you confirm you have the right to use them, including any photo you upload. We don't print event logos, race marks, club crests or other trademarks, and we may decline an order that infringes someone else's rights or that we consider offensive. If we decline, we refund you in full.

Our artwork

The layouts, typography and drawn motifs are ours. Buying a print or file gives you a personal, non-commercial licence: print it, frame it, give it away, but please don't resell the files or sell prints made from them. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors and that credit stays on every map-based print, as the licence requires.

Liability

If we let you down, the most we're liable for is what you paid for the order, except where the law doesn't allow us to limit liability. We're not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as carrier disruption or severe weather.

Your rights and disputes

Nothing in these terms takes away the protections consumer law gives you in the country where you live. If there's a problem, please talk to us first; most things are sorted with one email, and it doesn't affect your right to raise a dispute with your bank or payment provider.

Changes

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one on this page when you paid.
